I'm 1-week old ! ! !

Homecoming...

Shocking Photo Alert!!!

These pictures were taken right when we got home from the hospital.
They are shocking to me because I left for the hospital with two babies at home -
I came home to two GIRLS!

Welcoming Andrew...

Andrew on his first day in the world... The girls on their visit to the hospital to meet their little brother...

If he doesn't look tiny, it's because he's not!

He was 9 lbs. 6 oz. - 21-1/2" long!

Playing with Aunt Barbie...

Aunt Barbie is a grandma, and therefore highly qualified as a great playmate! She is so creative at playing games with the girls! They took the stickers off their new clothes from Grandma and made them into elephant trunks that would go up when they blew and made elephant sounds. Then Isabella put her sticker over her eyes and made some strange "I can't see" gestures.
We really need video clips of this, pictures don't do it justice...

Maternity pics

Ok, here are some maternity pictures, finally. Talk about waiting till the last minute - these were taken 2 hours and 10 minutes before he was born. I took most of my face out because I was looking tired (barely slept the night before, go figure) and I was already crying about leaving the girls for 3 days.

Gianna, my little mama...

Please don't be upset that I am adding pictures and they aren't of the baby.
Look how sweet Gianna is before you get mad!
She had to bring the baby monitor to bed with her for her nap today and cried when the picture on it didn't come in from her room. So I told her to just lay and listen to the baby and this is what I saw when I came back in about 2 minutes later... She would halfway open her eyes to look at the monitor every minute or so...

And some of a happy little Isabella (who, by the way, isn't at all interested in her little brother)...

Baby Jaguar

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Baby Jaguar! The famous little animal that brightens Gianna's world!
And just for fun, a couple of the girls this morning...

Baaaaaaa

We received a baby gift from our friend, Alice, yesterday. She is incapable of not doing everything she does cute! (Does that make sense? Everything she does is cute!) Remember my excitement at just getting dry cleaning in a box? Well, imagine me opening a package to find not just cute hand made gifts for our baby, but all packaged up in a cake box with a cute hand made gift tag!

Look at these sheep! They are the cutest! And the button on the baby hat is to die for! I've never seen anything like it! Plus burp cloths and a beautiful blankie! What a lucky baby! And mommy!

(THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH, ALICE)

P.S. You can check out Alice's incredible creativity at her blog: http://inspiredtokens.blogspot.com/

Christmas 2007

Christmas at home before our trip to Grandma's:

There was a gate at the girls' door then, and this morning it was a starting gate to the goodies we had waiting for them!
We got the girls a refrigerator / stove / oven / sink set...
Uncle Matt and Aunt Jillian got them cute red wooden cookware - so cute with the pink appliances!

Daddy getting his usual Lifesavers book...

Cell phones and puzzles from Uncle Marc and Aunt Rachel - big hits!

Food to stock our fridge with...

For months the girls fought over the "good seat", which is the one in the sink cutout...
I think they've finally outgrown it.
Little sick girls...

Christmas morning at Grandma's...
The girls rushed into her room in the morning for a group snuggle before checking out what Santa brought for them...

A potty! Whoohoo!!!
(Too bad it has only been used the proper way once so far!)

Opening presents from Aunt Beth...
The Doodlebug (and the ribbon) is a big hit!

So is the phone - a hotline to Pooh and Tigger!

Dinner at Aunt Barbies'...

And to all a good night...
