Isabella

Isabella is still not herself, still recovering from her ear infection and possibly the flu...

Gianna

Yippee!

Saturday we got to 61 degrees here! It felt so nice we opened windows and let the girls go out on the incredibly dirty screened in porch. They loved it!

Mike is going to clean up the porch, put up bamboo blinds, add indoor/outdoor carpets and set up the girls' new picnic table and sandbox so we can go out and play there soon. Tuesday it is supposed to be 72!!! Of course we go back to the 40's after that. But Spring is around the corner, we can feel it!

Weekend Project

Those of you who know me well know that, if it interests me, I am able to spend unusual amounts of time on the most trivial task.
So this weekend I made a little book for my my spare buttons and such. I took pictures of my clothes and/or close-ups of the fabric and matched the buttons and thread to them. For fun I also added words to some of the photos, mostly because I am becoming obsessed with making little collages on Photoshop, which I am just learning.

Yesterday's tornado

Yesterday's tornado touched down in Elwin, which is 5 miles from our house. We were very lucky...

Breakfast...

Please excuse the toast on the girls' faces. Look at all the teeth Gianna has!

The girls are starting to become affectionate. There is NO better feeling in the world! When we pick them up now they put their arms around our necks. Isabella likes to put her cheek against our cheeks. Yesterday when the 3 of us were huddled in the basement, Isabella seemed perfectly content to be held without moving or talking, just cuddling. Gianna, our little monkey, was squirming to get down and explore.

Crazy Weather

The girls and I survived a tornado warning this afternoon. We went down in the basement and I tried to figure out where we were supposed to be down there. I now think finishing the basement is going to have to be a priority - it was creepy down there!

Oh, an hour later I had some windows open because it was 56 degrees!

Expecting snow tomorrow.

I hope everyone else is surviving this weather ok, it's crazy all over...

On a bright note, we received GREAT news about Nicole today! Nicole, we all love you so much and are so happy everything is ok.
