Christmas 2007

Christmas at home before our trip to Grandma's:

There was a gate at the girls' door then, and this morning it was a starting gate to the goodies we had waiting for them!
We got the girls a refrigerator / stove / oven / sink set...
Uncle Matt and Aunt Jillian got them cute red wooden cookware - so cute with the pink appliances!

Daddy getting his usual Lifesavers book...

Cell phones and puzzles from Uncle Marc and Aunt Rachel - big hits!

Food to stock our fridge with...

For months the girls fought over the "good seat", which is the one in the sink cutout...
I think they've finally outgrown it.
Little sick girls...

Christmas morning at Grandma's...
The girls rushed into her room in the morning for a group snuggle before checking out what Santa brought for them...

A potty! Whoohoo!!!
(Too bad it has only been used the proper way once so far!)

Opening presents from Aunt Beth...
The Doodlebug (and the ribbon) is a big hit!

So is the phone - a hotline to Pooh and Tigger!

Dinner at Aunt Barbies'...

And to all a good night...

Near Future Posts

I promise to put pictures of the following on very near future posts, as per requests:

Baby Jaguar - anyone who talks on the phone to Gianna hears about Baby Jaguar!

Some sort of maternity picture - I haven't had one picture taken of myself this pregnancy (except behind many carousel animals), but plan on taking one or having Mike take one of me this weekend.

Oh, and Christmas pictures. Already? It's only August! Well, maybe I can throw some of those on now...

Am I forgetting anything / anyone?

Earth 911

A friend of mine recently shared the website http://earth911.org/ on her blog and I thought I'd pass it along on mine. It's a great site because it shows you where you can recycle those nasty things we know we shouldn't just throw in the trash. Like batteries. So I was thinking about how many batteries we will be going through over the next few years between swings and toys, and decided to share how we will collect our batteries to turn in to the appropriate facility:

Because sometimes it's easier to be green when it's so cute!

GoodSearch

I wanted to share this with anyone else who may not know about this yet. GoodSearch is a search engine through Yahoo. They donate to a charity you choose each time you do a search using them. (I believe that comes out to $.01 for each search.) I just added them to my toolbar, and it was actually very easy. And it's easy to pick the charity you want. I chose PETA, but will probably change it from time to time.

So even if it's just a cent, if we all do it from now on it will add up to some good!

P.S. Barb, the Henry County Humane Society is on there too!
