Daddy-Daughter Date Night

Mike and I try to take each of the girls on a date night most weeks. They usually involve an errand and a little treat. Tonight Mike took Gianna with him to get his hair cut then they took a walk by the lake together. He took this on his cell phone. I think it's such a beautiful photograph that I had to share it.

Mike's birthday

The kids all decorated their presents for their daddy, which was candy for him to take to the movies. Here is Isabella giving her gift to Daddy - she made a picture of her and her daddy together...

Here is Gianna with hers. Her picture kind of gives away the contents (peanut butter cups!)

And of course, Andrew gave his a special touch as well.

Tennis

Here are some pictures from the kids' first day of tennis lessons. Andrew is a bit on the young side for them (he missed the age cutoff, but they let me enroll him anyway) but he's trying!

Yoga and other stuff..

Isabella and Gianna started their first yoga class and they both loved it and learned so much!

Andrew and I, in the meantime, relaxed at our hangout spot where we go for coffee and hot chocolate, with whipped cream please.

Did someone sneak a shot of espresso in his hot chocolate?

One of the projects in the girls' yoga class was to make a jar to open when they are angry. The jars are full of ideas that they came up with to use when they are angry - yoga poses, count, read, etc... I LOVE this idea!

Taking pictures of the jars in their room made me want to share their library book bags. The library is another big hangout for us this summer.

The bags have a little spot for their library cards! Aren't they the cutest bags?

Unfortunately, I did NOT make them!

Ariel and Abu

Some canine friends of ours just moved to the area, so to welcome them (ok, and their parents!) we made them peanut butter doggie treats!

And in case any of our canine friends are reading this (YES, we mean you, Jane!) we might have a made a few extra that we will package up and mail soon!
