First Horseback Riding Lesson

It was dark and stormy out, not much light, so I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the pictures, but it was such a special day that I wanted to share it!

It's not all going to be fun and games, they have to learn to care for horses as well as ride them!
Happy to get a purple (G) and pink brush (I)...
Getting that first important lesson about horses -
never walk close behind them!
Finally making contact with "Katie"...
And Gianna is finally ON a horse! Note the purple blanket on Katie, Gianna is in pure heaven!
Isabella on Classy - note the pink blanket!
Learning to stop and re-start at the "A"
Two happy and proud girls!
A little after ride grooming...
And time to reward the beautiful horses...
The girls were really giggling, the horses were very patient!
Goodbye until next time, Classy!

Crazy Hair Day

Isabella wanted crazy hair...
Gianna didn't, but she did want her picture taken in her favorite outfit du jour...And Andrew just wanted to catch ANYTHING in his net!

Welcome to the Art Show

Here is the official art show artwork by the girls...
The moose was there to talk about seatbelt safety. I guess talk to them while you've got them! Some unofficial artwork outside the classroom...
Isabella's...
Gianna is also next to hers, it says, "I want to be a veterinarian".

Random

I finally got around to taking a picture of the craft that Andrew made for Valentine's Day. It was covered in bird seed, so obviously I got to the picture a little too late!
Waiting for the bus picture -
they LOVE wearing the dress Aunt Jane got them for
Christmas last year with their "fancy boots"!

Gianna has been obsessed with drawing this pigeon lately. I found this in the morning before school the day after they were out playing with chalk. Pigeon shows up everywhere!

Visitors

What a blessing to have such good friends. Brian and Melissa came out from Maine recently and we had such a good time. Below is pretty much their regular nighttime routine. The kids loved every minute of them being here. The grownups did too! Come back soon Brian and Mel!

Baby geese have arrived

I'm so used to seeing geese fly around our house, but I haven't seen them fly past our windows lately. Here is the reason why:
I guess they have taken to walking and swimming for the time being. How cute are those babies? I can't wait to see them starting to fly! Plus, I will feel better not worrying about the coyotes (see previous post) getting them once they are able to fly!

Easter 2012

The Easter Bunny came one night early this year because he knew Mommy and the girls would be out of town visiting Grandma. He started a new tradition of tying one end of yarn to their beds and the other to their Easter baskets that were hidden downstairs. Also, he was a crazy bunny eating carrots, snipping the yarn, and making a mess of it all! Here are their baskets after following the yarn to each hiding spot. The kids spotted a little friend run through the back yard. I was slow to get my camera so he was off a good distance before I got a picture.See him there? Of course the girls got upset that he was after the Easter Bunny. We assured them that the Easter Bunny is bigger than your average bunny!Time to decorate eggs...Isabella is holding the fairy egg up to complete the perfect princess scene.Gianna LOVED doing the horses.Andrew was a little crabby that I wanted pictures when he was ready to get in the car to go to the zoo with Daddy. Yikes, that face! Oh who am I kidding, I see it all the time!In the hotel on Easter morning...Rowdy girls...The Easter egg hunt...These girls so love their grandma! And I so love all three of these girls!!!
