July

Some of July in a quick post...

The 4th of July...
Make-your-own pizza night...

The kids set the table for Mike and I on our anniversary.  They even made placecards and decorations, including fancy hats for us!

Hiking with Daddy...
The kids with their aunt and cousin...

Vacation Bible School...
Brian and Melissa visited and we finally got to meet Lillian!  Saying she was a hit is an understatement!  She is crazy adorable!
Andrew loves babies, and this one is his favorite!  Just now he saw this and said, "awwwwww... Lilllian!"

Mike hit the big 4 - 0.  Thank goodness I'm not there yet! ;)  Having Brian and Melissa there made it so special.

Brian and Melissa brought a really cool book with them that they read to the kids in their clubhouse.
Camping with the cousins...
Here Andrew is "ice skating" on shaving cream!

Mike's family surprised Andrew with a birthday cake since it was a few days before his birthday.  It took him a minute to realize we were singing happy birthday to him!  When he did realize it, he tried running into our tent!

Andrew received a fishing pole from one of his uncles and aunts.

The girls took a lot of enrichment classes over the summer.  One Isabella took was "Don't Let the Pigeon..." based on the books by Mo Willems.  Her hat was inspired by that series.
She also made the beautiful butterfly...

Andrew did some crafts too...

Our friends brought these ridiculously cute (and tasty!) desserts for the kids:

Star Wars party...

Gianna wants a pet sting ray...

 Souvenirs...

Gianna got splashed big-time by a sting ray right as we were leaving.  We decided he was sad we were leaving.  But not as sad as Gianna was - she absolute LOVED them!

Andrew's Birthday

For Andrew's birthday, Isabella had the brilliant idea to follow one of Andrew's favorite books, "Happy Birthday, Little Pookie"!

One of the first things we did was have Pookie's birthday breakfast.

Mike took Andrew to get a haircut while I got his Pookie breakfast ready.  Here he is when I let him open his eyes after sitting down.

He decided to try lemon...
Mike took him to the store to buy a balloon, as Pookie did.  Andrew chose one for each of his sisters too.

Present time!

The sides of the cake look messy, but they are supposed to look like Pookie's birthday cake...

With his new frog, Irving.
